What I’m Reading
I tend to read in circles. In circles around a topic I’m exploring and circularly revisiting the same books again and again. I never quite know where any given stack is leading me when I start. I’m simply listening, following that curiosity, and letting the patterns emerge later.
Here’s the current stack I’m exploring around wholeness, power, and non-pathologizing facilitation.
Pleasure Activism by adrienne maree brown
The Right Use of Power by Cedar Barstow
Living in the Power Zone by Cedar Barstow & Reynold Ruslan Feldman
Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer
Anam Cara by John O’Donohue
A Hidden Wholeness by Parker J. Palmer
Holding Change by adrienne maree brown
Practicing New Worlds by Andrea J. Ritchie
The Heart Aroused by David Whyte
Here’s the previous stack I was exploring around systems thinking (how do all parts serve a whole?), complexity science (complex does not equal complicated! life isn’t linear!), and organizational development (what patterns can we see & what do they tell us?).
Sacred Economics by Charles Eisenstein
How to Do Nothing by Jenny Odell
Emergent Strategy by adrienne maree brown
Thinking in Systems by Donella H. Meadows
Sand Talk by Tyson Yunkaporta
Reinventing Organizations by Frederic Laloux
