Untangle your brain. Figure out your next step.

Office Hours are paid, one-hour sessions to work through whatever’s coming up in your business.

A yellow sicky note with pink handwritten text, "Office Hours!" is stuck to a white file holder. This image is collaged over a photo of the craft/book shelf in my living room, overflowing with colourful books and yarn.

You’ve only got so much time, energy, and money to put toward your business.

Let’s figure out the best-for-you way to use it.

Who it’s for:

Office Hours can be a great fit if you’re…

  • Feeling stuck or energetically gridlocked with your business. You’ve got a whole tangle of ideas and you’re struggling to make sense of them, let alone take action

  • Questioning your approach to marketing and want some directional clarity. You’d like to take a more proactive and less reactive approach—and possibly rely less on social media—but you’re not sure what that looks like for you

  • Feeling confused by typical business advice and having trouble tuning into your own instincts

  • Wanting to be more proactive—and develop better habits/rhythms—around marketing, money, or sales

  • Wanting space to soundboard and process everything that’s coming up in your business with someone who’s not your therapist/partner/friend

We can’t sort out your whole business in an hour, but we can untangle the knot and get some insight on where/how you could make meaningful progress.

Office Hours are an opportunity to check in with your business and yourself, to have some understanding company, and to get skilled support in figuring out what’s next.

How it works:

  • One, 60-minute session together

  • Held over Zoom

  • Book your call below via Calendly

  • After you book, I’ll send you an invoice and payment link

When you book you’ll be asked to fill out a few questions. This helps me come to our session prepared and already “in” your business (I’ll also have a quick look through any public-facing marketing materials like your website, social, etc.). Feel free to share as much or as little detail as you’d like.

Pricing & Booking:

Standard Rate: $220 CAD plus applicable tax

Maker Rate: $180 CAD plus applicable tax for makers, artists, those in healing professions (therapists, etc.), and anyone with unstable income who would be unnecessarily stretched by higher pricing.

Book your call below (or via Calendly directly).

FAQs

  • Yes! This is an as needed, ad hoc offer.

Book once, book a few times a year, or monthly as a steady check-in to clear your head.

If you’re interested in doing a few sessions in a row ask me about buying a package of four sessions. (Packages need to be used within four months and you’ll get a bit of a discount if you’re paying Standard Rate).

  • This is my take on sliding scale pricing and a small way I can bake a bit more equity into my business model.

I believe these professions are vital to the health and sustainability of our world, and yet our culture/economy doesn’t place a high monetary value on their contributions (for example, a therapist’s hourly rate is capped much lower than a lawyer’s and a skilled craftsperson generally makes less than someone in tech/finance even though they typically have higher overhead). That makes it harder to start and stay in business, and harder to access the paid support you might need as you go.

This is one—albeit small—balancing act I can do in favour of work I want to see more of in the world.

If you’re wondering if you qualify for Maker Rate—please don’t overthink it! If you suspect it might apply to you, it almost certainly does.

And if you’re not a maker/artist/healer but the lower price point means you can sign up and not feel unnecessarily financially stretched—you qualify! That’s what Maker Rate is here for. I wouldn’t offer it if I couldn’t comfortably sustain it :).

“I went into my Office Hours session feeling completely overwhelmed by my business. Kate provided space to honour the full spectrum of my feelings while also providing sharp insight into strategy. I left feeling refreshed, energized and ready to dive into the next phase of my business.”
