Learn Business That Feels More Human
Professional education that meets you where you are, to create meaningful business growth.
In business, sometimes we forget that we’re humans talking to other humans. Conventional, corporate teachings miss this messy, beautiful reality of organizational life.
I create engaging live learning experiences that centre our shared humanity in business.
My experience spans facilitation, professional development training, speaking appearances and podcast interviews sharing the opportunities created by a non-traditional, human-centred approach.
The skills I teach don’t exist in the vacuum of work; they apply to all areas of life. When learning speaks to who we are as humans, people are empowered to action what they’ve learned.
Meaningful conversations that get everyone on the same page.
A skilled facilitator, I offer a grounding, affirming, non-judgmental presence.
I care about honouring our shared humanity, respecting each other’s time and attention, and creating a safe, honest space for what would otherwise be left unsaid.
My approach empowers people to cultivate their collective compassion, courage, creativity, and tolerance for discomfort.
Together, we get to a place where everyone feels appreciated, engaged, and connected with heart and mind, leading to more effective ongoing team collaboration.
Examples of sessions I can facilitate for your team:
Project planning and debrief sessions
Half or full-day strategy meetings
Seasonal reflection and planning sessions
WHAT MY CLIENTS ARE SAYING
“A special thanks to Kate for her awesome job in facilitating the session. It felt extremely smooth and professional, and your presence certainly helped me feel comfortable.”
Professional development training for ongoing self-leadership.
So much conventional business education teaches rules that change in two years.
But it’s only by understanding evolving human behaviour—people’s needs and beliefs—that we unlock business potential for the long term.
I interview the people who will be on the training. I ask where you’re changing from, and why it’s not already happening.
From this, I curate a truly engaging curriculum that empowers people to lead their own learning beyond the sessions themselves. We can begin with:
Half-day workshops for your team
Deep-dive multi-week programs for your organization
Live learning experiences for your team, organization, or event
WHAT TRAINING PARTICIPANTS ARE SAYING
“Kate was fantastic. Please have her do more sessions in the future.”
“Insightful presentation. I hope there is a 2.0 follow-up.”
Speaking at your next event or on your podcast.
By humanising traditional topics such as marketing, money, and ethics, I inspire people to experience a more playful, proactive, and empowering approach to their work.
I speak with clarity, confidence, and genuine curiosity, tailoring my talking points to align with what you know your audience will be most excited to hear about.
My favourite topics to talk about:
Sustainable business practices focused on long-term goals
Thoughtful marketing. Developing right-fit strategies that honour your people, your resources, and your values
Self-leadership, being yourself in business, and figuring out sustainable ways of working
Meaningful work. Fostering agency, dignity, and purpose in business
Some of my most popular speaking gigs have come from being invited to expand on one of my blogs or newsletters, or being asked for my advice on a specific scenario, such as ‘I keep setting goals I don’t hit, what do I do?’
WHAT CONFERENCE ATTENDEES ARE SAYING
“Simply sensational. Kate should have a regular podcast I would listen to it on the way to work. Wonderful job!”
Alchemy of My Industry-Leading Approach
Compassion, discernment, and agency are essential ingredients in what helps people experience better connection with each other and their work. When designing learning experiences, I ask:
Am I creating the conditions for participation?
Is the content relevant, relatable, and jargon-free?
Can people put this into practice tomorrow?
By inviting play, making things engaging, and surfacing learnings that are ready to action, what emerges in the live space between us is a sense of shared humanity that’s more than the sum of our parts.

I’ve designed and delivered learning experiences for conferences, on-demand online learning platforms, and purpose-led organizations such as non-profits and regulatory bodies. I’ve facilitated lively focus groups for a team of 10 and delivered an engaging presentation to an audience of 2,500.
I’d love to run more focus groups, gathering meaningful feedback from your customers and students, so you can truly understand what works and what that means for what needs to come next.
I’m excited when a business asks me to come in as an in-house advisor, because I know what’s needed to improve your product and marketing so you can realise the growth that’s possible.
And I’m always interested to speak to businesses who are up for exploring what leading-edge, non-traditional business practices can bring. In particular, I’d love to run a six-week training on Sustainable Business Design or Self-leadership for a group of industry professionals (therapists, accountants, architects, or a group of craftspeople). Contact me if this is you.

A well-designed, tailored session begins with good discovery. Thanks to the skills I’ve honed as an advisor, I tune in quickly to what the business needs, but I’ll have as many conversations as it takes with you, your team, and any other relevant stakeholders to ensure we’re all clear and confident in the session content, delivery, and outcomes. I do my homework, working out how to create something truly timely and “right-sized” for your business.

I will provide whatever’s necessary to ensure all participants are set up for success and, most importantly, that they can implement their learnings afterward.
Through our initial conversations, I’ll be able to advise what I think is best, and I can give you multiple options depending on budget and timeline. My goal is that every session is meaningful and actionable. Sometimes that means gathering some reflections from participants ahead of time, often it means follow-up materials that summarize key takeaways and keep new learnings top of time and practicable. I love creating a “cheat sheet”!

I mostly work virtually, but I absolutely do offer the occasional in-person session. I’m an hour outside of Toronto, Canada, and willing to travel. We’ll discuss travel expenses, exploring whether an in-person session makes the best use of your resources.
I always want the format of the session to honour the audience, the purpose, and the desired outcomes. Sometimes that’s better in person (for example, I love running team half-day sessions in person), other learning, such as cohort-based programmes, work especially well online.

As you can imagine, each session, workshop, or training is unique. I’m transparent with my pricing and will give you options. I can give you a ballpark figure early on to check we’re aligned and working to find a budget and timeline that meets both our needs. I’ll only say yes to a project if I’m confident I can deliver a good return on your investment.
It starts with a conversation—email me and we can discuss what works for both sides.

Quite possibly! If you suspect me or my approach would help, our best next step is to set up a call to get to know each other. I want to get a good sense of the challenges you’re facing, what you’ve tried so far, and any notable long-standing team dynamics. That will help me assess if I’m equipped to facilitate the conversation for you.
Depending on the situation, I sometimes like chatting with each team member individually before having a group session. This helps me find the most effective “door in” to a group conversation, and it helps build trust ahead of what can be an emotionally spikey experience.
